Experience & Requirements

  • Graduation from a master’s level program in mental health services

  • Minimum of two (2) years employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.

  • Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.

The salary is $143,312.

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Mid-Level with YesCare:

  • Maintains a caseload of patients from both the inpatient and outpatient population. Provides therapeutic interventions on an individual and group basis as appropriate.

  • Performs administrative consultations for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution

  • Perform specific psychiatric social service work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a State Correctional Facility.

  • Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.

  • Provides comprehensive social work to restore the individual to their maximum functioning capacity. Provide one on one counseling sessions, run various treatment groups as determined by patient needs (i.e. Impulse Control, Population Coping Skills, etc.). Contact patient's family, employer, lawyer, etc. when deemed necessary and related to patient's treatment. Responsible for the obtaining of information for comprehensive psychosocial history.

  • Participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff.

  • Consult with psychiatric, psychology and/or medical staff concerning coordinated patient care. Coordinate discharges from Behavioral Health Unit. Arrange and coordinate mental health hearings with county courthouse; arrange patient transfers to state hospitals.

  • Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports. Performs related work as required.

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management
