Experience & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field and generally 8-10 years of HR experience required. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred. Finance experience is strongly preferred. Professional certifications (SPHR, CCP, CEBS, etc.) are preferred.
Knowledge of leading practices and external compensation, benefits, and HR technology systems trends.
Demonstrated track record and expertise in building, leading, and managing a successful Total Rewards/Compensation and Benefits function, designing, and developing compensation strategies and plans.
Knowledge of the legal compensation and benefits environment at National, State, and Local levels. Experience in compliance with regulations, for example, FLSA, ACA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, & HIPAA.
Previous experience leading, managing, and building teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. High energy and drive to create an environment of continuous improvement, high performance, and engagement.
Strong executive presence and leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence senior-level leaders and other key stakeholders.
A background check, security clearance, and drug screening are required for this role.

Responsibilities
The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for developing and implementing employee compensation and benefits programs. Partners with management to provide strategic and operational leadership in designing, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering benefits and compensation programs. Partners with the regional and local staff to analyze current compensation plans and procedures to ensure the company is operationally efficient, competitive, and compliant with laws and regulations. Is responsible for the overall management and administration of benefit programs through innovative solutions appropriate for the company culture and broader HR strategy. This is a remote position.
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Director of Total Rewards with YesCare:
Working with CHRO to develop/enhance and implement a short- and long-term US compensation strategy.
Lead the development and implementation of new compensation programs, including leadership in the year-end compensation planning to ensure effective and efficient program delivery and communication.
Oversee the design and competitive benchmarking for incentive plans to ensure that the plans are effective, competitive, and aligned with business requirements.
Create administrative processes to maintain and ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and Federal laws and regulations by monitoring and responding to new and emerging legislation that impacts compensation and benefits programs; interact with internal and external legal counsel; present proposed programs, prepare and maintain required documents; and educate cross-functional teams and departments regarding issues and implications to ensure compliance.
Assist HR leadership in developing strategies by analyzing and understanding pending and proposed legislation related to compensation and benefits and advice on the impact of legislation on the company and employees.
Provide strong oversight to benefit vendors to ensure service delivery is high quality and operationally efficient.
Manage and negotiate relationships with benefits brokers and vendors, program vendors, and consultants for services, premiums, and program administration.
Lead the Compensation and Benefits team to support the business development function, including Request for Proposal research and analysis, contract award start-up / close-out activities.
Research best practices through surveys and other sources of industry information. Oversee the effective use of market data to recommend competitive, innovative, and cost-effective compensation and benefit plans.
Responsible for developing various communications, including plan documents, changes, and employee notices.
Own relationships with local vendors and manage the annual renewal activities, contract negotiations, and request for proposal process.
Provide support to Field locations governed under a collective bargaining agreement, including SME support during negotiations.
Participate in cross-functional teams on technology projects.
Review existing technology used for compensation and benefits administration and recommend enhancements or enhanced efficiencies.
Performs other duties as required.
