Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Utilization Management Clerk with Corizon Health:
8 am - 4:30 pm
Answers and screens telephone calls, relaying message to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
Routinely serves as liaison between Corizon and the facility Utilization Management Staff.
Photocopies, faxes and types Utilization Authorization Requests and general correspondence for regional UM and professional staff as requested.
Receives incoming UM Authorization Requests, processes requests according to established procedures, coordinates and assures receipt of additional clinical documentation as necessary, enters necessary UM Request information into Corizon management systems.
Attends meetings and takes minutes, as required.
Must have knowledge of duties, priorities, commitments, policies and programs of Corizon.
Works cooperatively with medical, mental health care staff and administration and performs duties in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. Complies with all rules, directives, policies, procedures and protocols of the facility and Corizon.

Experience & Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of one (1) year experience as an administrative secretary; medical secretarial experience preferred.
Required to exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally.
Occasionally walking throughout site; to include walking up and down flights of stairs.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks using arms, hands, and wrists.
Long periods sitting, typing and reading from a computer screen may be required.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
